This year's Notting Hill Carnival weekend will take place from 28th-30th August 2010. A full guide to the weekend will be sent out to all registered Carnival participants in August.

Please complete the registration form below and then arrange for payment of your registration fee, either by paypal (preferred), cheque, or in person at a Sunday evening workshop. Further details of payment options will follow on the confirmation email.

All registrations, complete with payment, must be sent by Sunday 27th June. We will sadly not be able to guarantee your place in the parade or a costume in your size after this date. Once you have paid your registration fee you can cancel at any time and get a refund of 50% before 31st July 2010. Any cancellations after that date cannot be refunded.

• All performers from the Greater London area are required to be members of the London School of Samba.

• All applications will be considered, however, places in certain alas and bateria sections are limited. Participants will be selected on the basis of ability, experience and availability within the sections, at the discretion of the dance co-ordinators or bateria directors. If in doubt please consult the dance co-ordinators or bateria directors before registering.

• All applicants must be able to attend the whole Carnival weekend between Saturday 28th August and Monday 30th August between 10.00 and 18.00 on Saturday and Sunday and until Carnival and clearing up finishes on Monday 31st August – this could be until midnight.

• All applicants from Greater London are also required to attend all of the rehearsals in August with applicants from South-East England expected to attend at least one rehearsal before the Carnival weekend.

• All applicants from Greater London may be required to be available to perform in the Notting Hill Splash gala performance at Alexandra Palace on Saturday 21st August (date tbc)

• All applicants, both bateria and dancers, from Greater London must complete at least 3 days of costume production between May 1st and July 31st. The LSS reserves the right to cancel your place if you fail to do the required amount of costume production.

• The London School of Samba carries Public Liability insurance but cannot accept any responsibility for injury to participants whilst on parade.

• The LSS reserves the right to refuse to allow any member wearing inappropriate clothing or footwear on parade.
